Ely J. Rosenzveig
Principal

Ely J. Rosenzveig has been practicing law with distinction for nearly 30 years. Ely received his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan School of Law in 1985. For many years, Ely was a senior partner at a leading elder law firm. In January, 2010, Ely formed the law firm, Ely J. Rosenzveig & Associates, PC, with his son, Ariel.

In June, 2015, Ely successfully completed a certificate program in mediation through the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.

Ely also is an ordained rabbi, earning his rabbinic degree from Yeshiva University in 1984. He served as a congregational rabbi until his retirement from the active rabbinate in 2012. For sixteen years, he was the senior rabbi of Congregation Anshe Sholom in New Rochelle, New York.

Ely practices principally in the fields of elder law, trusts & estates, tax planning, employment law, and mediation. Ely has extensive experience in federal and New York State tax law, and has successfully represented a wide range of clients on FBAR & FATCA compliance issues. Ely practices employment law, with a particular emphasis on age and disability discrimination, negotiating compensation agreements, and severance issues.

With his extensive background in the law, his experience as a congregational rabbi, and his specialized training in Mediation at Harvard Law School, Ely is also available as a professional mediator to help facilitate optimal solutions in matters ranging from family and estate disputes to multi-party commercial issues.

Ely is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), and NYSBA’s Elder Law section. Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review ratings drawn from evaluations by fellow attorneys and the judiciary, rank Ely as AV Preeminent, at the highest level of professional excellence.

Ariel S. Rosenzveig
Managing Partner

Ariel S. Rosenzveig received his Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in May, 2011, and has been practicing law with the firm since August, 2011. During his summers while in law school, Ariel interned with the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission in New York and with the Securities & Futures Commission in Hong Kong, China.

While in law school, Ariel served on the staff of the Cardozo Public Law, Policy & Ethics Journal, volunteered with the Cardozo Advocates for Battered Women, and participated in the National Institute for Trial Advocacy’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Program. Prior to attending law school, Ariel worked as an arbitrage trader for a small proprietary trading firm on Wall Street. Ariel graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva University in 2006.

Ariel is licensed to practice law in the states of New York and New Jersey, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), NYSBA’s Elder Law section, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). In June, 2015, Ariel successfully completed a certificate program in mediation through the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.

Kevin D. Florin
Senior Associate

Kevin D. Florin received his Juris Doctor from the Pennsylvania State University – Dickinson School of Law in May, 2006, and joined the firm in 2024. While in law school, Kevin clerked for the Honorable Kevin A. Hess with the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

He has been assisting clients in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, and elder law since 2013.

Kevin is licensed to practice law in the states of New York and Connecticut, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) and the NYSBA’s Elder Law section. He also graduated from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.

David N. Menchaca
Associate

David N. Menchaca joined Ely J. Rosenzveig and Associates in 2023. He has been assisting clients in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, and elder law since 2017. After beginning his career as a member of the Massachusetts bar, he was admitted to the bar in New York state in 2024.

David has participated in the Volunteer Lawyers Project as a member of the guardianship clinic and was a featured speaker for the year-end review of the trusts and estates section of the Boston Bar Association.

David obtained his Juris Doctor from Boston College in May, 2014. While studying there, he was a recipient of the Law School Scholarship and participated in the mentorship program for incoming students. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree from Amherst College.

Nicole Iarossi


Law Clerk

Nicole Iarossi received her Juris Doctor from Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in May, 2019. She has been with our firm since August, 2023. Prior to joining the team, she worked at a personal injury law firm. While in law school, Nicole was a member of the Italian American Law Organization, Women’s Association of Law Students, and the Christian Law Students Association.

Nicole’s favorite part of her work in Elder Law and Trusts & Estates is knowing that she plays an integral role in helping clients through challenging times. Being a single mother of a child with a chronic illness, she understands firsthand the challenges that many of our clients’ face. This has allowed Nicole to bring a unique perspective to the field of law, combining her personal experience with her compassion to help others.

Before attending law school, Nicole served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer. She is a combat veteran, who was deployed to Afghanistan in 2004, as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. During her deployment, she worked as a gunner on patrol missions, managing highly stressful situations. Nicole graduated from Lehman College with Departmental Honors in 2016, with a bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Journalism. She completed the Bronx Journalism Workshop in 2015, which led to a position as a reporter for cable news channel, Bronxnet TV.

When Nicole is not at work, she loves spending time with her daughter, Giuliana, and their cat, Sadie. She enjoys hiking, yoga, meditation, and running. Nicole has also been learning to wood carve and likes to create walking sticks for hiking. She also enjoys traveling to different places and learning about cultures. Having also been a competitive dancer and trained in classical Ballet, she still has a deep passion for dance.

Janee Bedford
Law Clerk

Janee Bedford attended and graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, cum laude, in May 2013, where she received a BA in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology. She then went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Western New England University School of Law in May 2020.

During her time in law school, Janee interned with the Youth Advocacy Division where she learned the ins and outs of Juvenile Delinquency. While in law school, Janee was able to maintain several jobs, including working with a Criminal Defense attorney on a high-profile case in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

As a young, determined student, Janee interned with the Legal Aid Society where she acted as a “lawyer for the day” in the Massachusetts Supreme Court’s housing court. Janee was also a member of Western New England’s Law Review, where she acted as the Senior Publishing and Sourcing Editor in her last year.

One class Janee excelled in while in law school was Trust and Estates. From her exceptional performance in this class, she received the CALI award for being one of the top students in the class. This achievement sparked her interest in estate planning. Janee joined our firm in November 2022 and has been an integral part of our success.

Dee Austin
Paralegal & Director of Operations

With over 20 years of experience in estate planning, elder law, and real estate, Dee Austin brings a deep well of knowledge, compassion, and professionalism to her work as a paralegal. Deatra is deeply committed to helping individuals and families protect their assets, plan for the future, and access the care they need.

Dee studied Public Administration at Miami Dade Community College, where she cultivated her passion for serving others and navigating complex systems to support community needs. Her extensive background enables her to provide clients with guidance that is both legally sound and personally tailored.

Outside of the office, Dee is an active member of her church’s outreach ministry. She dedicates her time to supporting victims of domestic violence, feeding the hungry, and connecting members of the homeless community with essential resources. Her service-driven approach carries through every aspect of her work, making her a trusted and compassionate advocate for the firm’s clients.
